The gallery features cotemporary and modern arts of various mediums from Latin America, Europe and the United States. Paintings by Antonia Guzman, as well as works by artists like Pedro Ruiz and Connie Lloveras, to name a few—are on exhibit. Gallery This 3 ½ acre non-profit artist community is located in historic downtown Homestead. It has three buildings of artist’s studios, exhibitions, and educational programs to support and promote emerging artists. In the Fine Arts Building, you’ll find paintings, photography, and mosaics. The Crafts Building features fabric design and jewelry, while the Sculpture Space boasts pieces in wood, bronze and stone. Gallery For over 35 years, Virginia Miller has brought historically important contemporary artists and works to Miami. The gallery has a momentous and unique collection of international works, including pieces by Dutch painter, Karel Appel. The gallery featured works by Abstract Expressionist, Richard Pousette-Dart and a rare exhibition and sale of “Doonesbury” drawings and paintings. Gallery Set inside a large 1930’s commercial baking company building is this non-profit art and art education organization. The complex boasts several galleries, 70 artist studios, classrooms, and an assortment of technical facilities, including a print lab and dark room. The artists range from painters, sculptors, potters, printers and furniture makers. Shows feature emerging local talent. Daily: 12pm to 5pm Art Museum A revolving assortment of art is on display in this museum situated in the heart of the Art Deco District. Its treasures include Sixteenth and Seventeenth Century tapestries and Italian Renaissance altarpieces by Botticelli and Giovanni Mazone. Gallery New York art-scene veteran, Bernice Steinbaum, whose gallery was named by Miami New Times as the “Best in Town”, has presented Miami with a fine selection of emerging and acclaimed contemporary artists for several years now. Some of the artists featured are Edouard Duval-Carrie, Glexis Novoa, and Peter Sarkisian. Her emphasis is on diversity as women make-up half of her artists and 35% are “artists of color.” Gallery This local arts organization exhibits the talents of artists from Latin American and the Caribbean Islands. The pieces are as diverse as Miami is, with arts ranging from black and white photography to ceramics to abstract paintings. The last Friday of the month from May to October the gallery honors a new artist and hosts a celebratory evening that features live music, poetry, and a taste of Caribbean cuisine. Gallery A promoter of European art, specifically French, this non-profit center lies in Miami’s Wynwood area. It offers exhibition space, artist’s studios, hosts shows, as well as various cultural events, including concerts and lectures.
