The It party of the holiday was the Lady GaGa affair at the Fontainebleau. Everyone wanted to be in the crowd as the pop princess did the countdown and performed some of her hits, right after her concert at the James L. Knight Center, no less. I heard, though, that Crawford had some of his friends go back to his suite when the poolside bash got to be “too much,” and watched the show from there, and that Lady GaGa partied well into New Year’s Day up in her VIP penthouse, while the likes of Akon, Chris Brown, and Colin Egglesfield held court at LIV. Keri Hilson hosted a NYE bash at Karu&Y; Macy Gray helped ring in 2010 at the Mondrian; Common celebrated at The Florida Room with Serena Williams, Ludacris, and Gabrielle Union (TV’s FlashForward); and AnnaLynne McCord hosted the W’s party, which featured shows by John Legend and Kid Cudi. Brody Jenner hosted the Joonbug.com NYE party at the Gansevoort, while Daniel Merriweather and Wale performed at the Shore Club, Drake did his thing at Cameo, and Kellan Lutz and Olivia Munn co- hosted the festivities at Klutch. Off the beach, Diddy hosted a super- exclusive affair on Star Island for pals including Brandy, Michael Bay, and Tyrese. Meanwhile, the party raged on after NYE, with McCord maybe-hooking up (again) with Lutz at the Shore Club, and holding court with Brittany Snow at Set; Ice-T and wife Coco hanging out at Wall at the W; and Matisyahu performing at The Florida Room. Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a donated court to Community Partnership for the Homeless in Miami. In January, he and maybe-gf unit Gabrielle Union stopped by STK Miami Beach at the Gans for dinner with friends. Speaking of STK, the hot spot also was on Fergie and Josh Duhamel’s itinerary early in the new year. The singer was in town to attend a Dolphins-Steelers game and serenade Don Shula on his 80th birthday at LandShark Stadium. Director John Singleton celebrated his b- day at Mansion, as did Amerie, and Cindy Crawford was spotted striking a fierce pose for an Ice Watch commercial in Downtown Miami.
