FOOD roasted turkey, even sliced apples; the combinations are delicious. Add a side of tomato soup and feel the comfort of a rainy Sunday afternoon at home. For those experiencing Flintstones nostalgia, there is a perfect Food Truck. A caveman holding a taco in front of a sky blue background offers to "change the world one taco at a time." At B.C. Tacos Food Truck there is a Caveman Taco with tons of meat, hard and soft tacos, tortilla chips, and four homemade sauces. There is even a S'mores Taco. Fred and Barney would really love that. For the brave, a red, orange, and black truck with a giant black stove and flames, The Rolling Stove, serves "fire starters" like Ron's Bites, which are baked potatoes sliced, fried and served with cheddar cheese. There are also "fuels" such as Jerk Chicken Wings, Steak Burgers, and Sloppy Jerks. With a "hot" mouth, visiting Snow Caps Food Truck for some Shaved Ice Delights with different colors and flavors sounds like a great plan. Since this is Miami there is no way that a Cuban Frita could be missing. The Frita Man, a superhero wearing blue and red and sporting some nifty black sunglasses offers Floridians a variety of Fritas Cubanas. Fritas are kind of a Cuban hamburger. The difference between a frita and a burger is the meat. Fritas are made with a combination of beef, Cuban sausage, pork, and ground onions. The Frita Man serves three varieties of fritas, all on a Cuban hoagie roll: the traditional Cuban Frita, the American Frita with American cheese and pickles, and the Mexican Frita with jalapeño and guacamole. There is even a unique Frita Man version of the hot dog, the Hot Dog Frita. Can't wait to try those! End the meal with an espresso coffee, dessert, or some fresh baked cookies from Divan Bakery and Coffee's brown truck. Participate in this "new concept of coffee shop in Miami." Every Friday, the Miami Food Trucks have a different meeting place. This is the subject of conversation around the water cooler in Florida offices everywhere, the next location of The Trucks. Follow a favorite, follow the new trucks, (there is always a new truck with new food to taste) or just follow them all! To find out about Food Truck meet ups, find a specific truck, or to just see their logos and beautiful artwork, there are many sites to visit like miami-food-trucks.com or miamifoodtrucks.com. Find them all on Facebook and Twitter. Some even have websites of their own, nachomamasgrill.com, mscheezious.com, therollingstove.com and snowcapsco.com…. Just follow! ML MIAMI LIVING 31
