ULTRA HISTORY UMF started as a one day musical event, and soon after became a two day event, then progressed into a three day event. This extravagant festival, started out as a rave where electronic music lovers could come together and wild-out. Ultra Music Festival was the winner of the Best Music Event by the International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) in 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. It was also the Best International Dance Music Festival by Ibiza DJ Awards in 2008. This three day event is the biggest and most famous dance music event – and worth every penny. In addition to the festival in Miami, there is a separate UMF WORLDWIDE brand. These series of festivals continue to expand internationally with sold out festivals in Brazil, Ibiza, and many other countries.
