Oh, and then…then it was New Year's Eve time. Golly, peeps – I need a Seltzer just thinking about it…. Just like Basel, the NYE celebrations got started super-way-too-early when, no sooner than the next night, Jonathan Cheban, director Michael Bay, basketballer Reggie Bush, and Wilmer Valderrama got a leg up on the 31st at LIV. A few days later, Vanessa Hudgens and her bf Austin Butler hit the club. The cute couple also reportedly were all over each other at the Fontainebleau pool, and the pair rang in 2012 at the resort with Busta Rhymes, alongside the likes of Cheban, Maria Menounos, 90210 star Jessica Lowndes, and JC Chasez, which, OMG, like, totally brings our *NSYNC-ers-in- Miami-last-season count to 4. Jessica Szohr also there, living it up. Harry Potter star Tom Felton also was spotted at the 'bleau, and he even tweeted about how he wasn't sure how the powers that be there could possibly top themselves next year. To which, I bet, they said, "Game on, wizard." Ha! Meanwhile, poolside at the Delano, Robin Thicke worked the crowd into a frenzy with Sean Penn popped into Haven South Beach to grab a bite. Jennifer Lopez celebrated New Year's Eve in Miami with her new beau and hit Soho Beach House for dinner. his oh-so-sexy four-song mini-concert, as his wife Paula Patton looked on. Also at the always-It, IMHO, classic-SoBe hotel, keeping a relatively low profile, were Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Paris and Nicky Hilton did the countdown at the W, while Rick Ross did the same at Cameo. Queen Latifah pre-partied with a lively dinner at Philippe Chow, then hit the Shelborne just in time to wish LeBron James a Happy Belated Birthday – and congratulate him on popping the question to his longtime gf Savannah Brinson. Speaking of the Shel, Lauryn Hill performed at the hotel's NYE bash, with Nas, much to the enjoyment of the Boshes, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union, Fat Joe, Jessica White, and Sanaa Lathan. Rihanna surprised pretty much everybody when she flew into Miami to hit Diddy's NYE party at a PPR. She reportedly kept thisclose to Ne-Yo as guests including Gayle King, Vivica A. Fox, and Star Jones looked on. The singer took to Twitter on New Year's Day…well, more like at night, to say she was having a blast dancing to her own hit, "We Found Love," at LIV. Btw, DMX and Lil Wayne were also celebrating the arrival of the new year – still. Jennifer Lopez also did New Year's in our lovely neck of the woods, but the comeback diva tried to fly under the radar as best she could. Sure, La Lopez did hit Soho Beach House with her dancer-beau Casper Smart and a group of pals, and did go dancing well into the wee hours at Amnesia, but she mostly stuck close to her BFF Loren Ridinger's PPR, and did a little shopping in Bal Harbour. She also did take a stroll – a not-so-private one, hand-in-hand with Smart – on Lincoln Road, but since she wasn't wearing make- up, you know she didn't want any attention. Finally, after all this going out, it was only natural to be quite hungry, which is what Cee Lo, LeBron James, and Dwyane Wade must've been when they hit Yardbird Southern Table & Bar. Oh, yikes – almost forgot. Y' know what other place aside from LIV was boppin' this past season? Zuma. Shania Twain had dinner there three nights in a row.
