SCOOP Kelly Clarkson put on a friggin' cool show at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood. Hennessy Black-sponsored dinner at Vesper that drew out Lo Bosworth, Fat Joe, John Singleton and up-and-comer Shyra Sanchez, and Jonathan Cheban. Alexandra Richards kept us going from the DJ booth. At the after-party, Timbaland got his flirt on with a leggy blonde. The next night, Jessica Szohr stopped by the Shelb' to play DJ and dazzle for a bit and a half. That girl is my favorite. The Blacks' Annual Gala at the Fontainebleau was the swanky affair it always is thanks to Tony Bennett and Queen Latifah, who performed, and Mario Lopez (who unveiled his Rated M underwear collection at Aventura Mall), Joe Francis, Shareef Malnik and Gabrielle Anwar, Emilio Estefan, singer Deborah Cox, Lennox Lewis, Rico Love, and…Lea Black's Housewiving pals, of course, Adriana De Moura, Alexia Echeverria, and (I'm callin' it – she's so on the show), Joanna Krupa. The big thing that weekend, as it often is when anything major happens in the MIA, was whether Madonna would, indeed, grace us with her regal presence. Which. She. Did. The Queen of Pop turned up at the Ultra Music Festival, basically on the eve of the Minka Kelly helped Bacardi celebrate its 150th anniversary. Patrick Schwarzenegger was spotted enjoying his spring break on South Beach. release of her MDNA, to introduce Avicii – and stir a little controversy with her comment about "Molly" (who I thought was a DJ she'd really liked, btw). This was M's first time at Ultra to boot, which is another reason why the woman's way cooler than you…and me. Meanwhile, the Hiltons put on an appearance of their own, at Room 101 at Swedish House Mafia's Masquerade Motel. Chris Bosh celebrated his 28th birthday with a casino-themed dinner at Prelude by Barton G. (Pat Riley was there his MVP) and an after-party at Bamboo, and Irina Shayk helped Anne V fête hers at The Forge. Oh, y' know who was spotted frolicking on the surf during all the music madness? Patrick Schwarzenegger. Mark Walhberg also was seen getting his Miami on, having himself a big ol' dinner at Nobu at the Shore Club. He also enjoyed the food of Scarpetta at the 'bleau, as did Tyra Banks. The actor was in town shooting Michael Bay's Pain and Gain with homeboy Dwayne Johnson, who also took part in WrestleMania XXVIII. The Rock faced off against the equally imposing John Cena at the pay-per-view event held at Sun Life Stadium. I didn't get to meet either, but I did get to meet Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler, Natalya, The Miz, and Triple H, among others, at a charity fundraiser benefitting the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at a PPR (that's posh private residence, folks) on Star Island. In April, the Nautica South Beach Triathlon got some of us out of bed rather early to hit the beach; some to participate, others (like me) to cover. Among us? Cristian de la Fuente, Josh Hopkins (TV's Cougar Town), James Marsden, Natalie Morales from the Today show, Jeffrey Donovan, and Geoff Stults. JoJo was there at the beginning of the event to sing the national anthem, while Bob Saget played master of ceremonies once the last triathlete crossed the finish line. And then from there, whaddy'all know, it was off to the 2012 Ludus Athletics Model Beach Volleyball Tournament – which was conveniently taking place basically next door – for Marsden and Stults. And that's what I call a good place to call it a dispatch. Until next time…have fun! ML MIAMI LIVING 111
