SCOOP Miami Star Report star sightings Words by Martin haro this season of star sightings we had us numerous Jennifer Lopez visits, the requisite spotting of one Ms. Kim Kardashian (complete with a mini-traffic jam around the block from my old house), a Bieber watch, a nicole richie snub, and best of all, a rumor that paid off in a royal visit by the one and only Queen of Pop Madonna. it was a good time. We left off right after 2012 began, though, so let's look back a bit. Paparazzi caught up with Joanna Krupa on the streets of Miami when her car broke down outside a friend's house back in January. i can't help but wonder if a Real Housewives of Miami crew was there to document all the drama – since they totally were there on the beach at 12th street on south Beach at the beginning of april when she was having a tête-à-tête with her fiancé on the sand. (More on the housewives later.) Youngarts hosted its affair of the arts gala at the gusman Center for the Performing arts downtown, and the whole thing was a glitzy, well…affair, alright, with Bill and Donna Marriott in attendance, as well as Robert Redford, the gorgeous Debi Mazar, and Bruce Weber. Meanwhile, at the Mandarin Oriental, Christian Slater and Michael Bublé lent their star power to the Voices for Children gala. Carlos Moyá, that spanish stud of a retired tennis champ, had himself a decidedly more low-key time when he stopped by for drinks at Jeronimo's Bar down on soFi. Greg Allman performed at the seminole hard rock hotel & Casino in hollywood, Fla. Larry King did, too (?). Back on soBe, the grand opening of Bianca at the Delano hotel – so long, farewell, Blue Door! – brought out Alex Rodriguez, Evan Ross, Selita Ebanks, Jessica Stam, Michelle Rodriguez, Michael Capponi, Mickey Rourke, Sammy Sosa, Jonathan Cheban, and Ingrid Casares, there to support her '90s better half, Chris Paciello, all of whom enjoyed a performance by trumpeter Chris Botti. From one party to another, a-rod also celebrated Bacardi's 150th anniversary. the company threw itself a bash that drew out Ryan Phillippe and Minka Kelly, as well as Mr. & Mrs. 305 Emilio and Gloria Estefan (natch), Alonzo Mourning, Lisa Pliner, Roy and Lea Black, and Adriana De Moura. Amber Rose and Whiz Khalifa got their party on at Cameo and celebrated Stevie J's birthday at LiV at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach alongside Dr. Dre, Fabolous, Lil Wayne, Ne-Yo, and Trey Songz. Jennifer Lopez arrived in the Magic City to shoot her latest Vogue cover with Mario Testino. J. Lo, of course, hung out with BFF Loren Ridinger, and even took a stroll on Lincoln freakin' road with her dance-beau Casper Smart. speaking of ridinger, she hosted the Market america 2012 World Conference at the american airlines arena downtown with a few of her pals in attendance, including Tracy Mourning, Scottie and Larsa Pippen, Kim Kardashian, and basketball wife-turned-beauty entrepreneur La La Anthony, who launched her Motives for La La cosmetics line at the event. Madonna surprised the crowd at the Ultra Music Festival when she came out to introduce Avicii's set. 108 MIAMI LIVING In town to shoot Michael Bay's Pain and Gain, Mark Wahlberg was spotted getting his dinner on at Nobu and Scarpetta. Kim Kardashian had a girls night out at Zuma Miami at the EPIC Hotel.
