SCOOP Paula Abdul checked out the food and the awesome views at the new Lincoln Road hot spot, Juvia. That little mini-traffic jam earlier? It happened one morning as I was on my way to work, and Ridinger (my old neighbor now) and Co. were on their way to the AAA. Gal pals had quite the motorcade to go to the conference…. Kardashian, of course, took a little time to unwind, Miami-style, while in town. She went shopping on Lincoln Road with Larsa Pippen, and hit LIV with Jonathan Cheban after dining at Zuma Miami at the EPIC Hotel. A very special guest joined in on the fun on the last day of the conference: Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria. The 305's other first couple, Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova had a dinner date at Philippe Chow's new Ocean Drive location, while the 305's other other first couple, Dwyane Wade and the gorge Gabrielle Union, celebrated her Ocean Drive cover with dinner at Bianca at the beginning of February. DJ Irie and Morris Chestnut helped Wilmer Valderrama blow the candles on his birthday cake at LIV while Sean Paul performed at Cameo. Chris Brown and Chad Ochocinco and his fiancé Evelyn Lozada were spotted at Arkadia at the 'bleau right after Valentine's Day, while Joe Jonas held court at Set Diane Kruger turned heads at the debut celebration for the St. Regis Bal Harbour. after dinner at Bâoli. Ever the busy bee, J2 also made it to Michael Bay's b-day shindig at LIV…and got caught maybe- canoodling with Nina Agdal at the Mondrian South Beach. (Agdal's a model that appeared in the latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Jonas told me in March the two were "just friends," btw.) Russell Simmons stopped by FIU's Biscayne Bay Campus to talk to students as part of a university lecture series. Ditto Adrian Grenier and Kelly Cutrone. Simmons then joined the likes of Chris Brown, Gucci Maine, and Tyga at LIV to celebrate their friend Birdman's b-day. Kelly Clarkson rocked the house at the Hard Rock like only she could, while Justin Bieber kept to himself while recording in our neck of the woods. Michael Jordan was surprised by a couple of pals who came out to wish him a Happy Birthday at The Forge: Paula Abdul and Derek Jeter. As usual, South Beach turned into a big ol' bacchanalia at the end of February when the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival took over the city. Everyone was there. I mean, there was Al Roker at Moët Hennessy's The Q out on the Delano beach, as well as Emeril Lagasse and Paris Hilton was literally everywhere during Miami Music Week. Atta girl! Dean Fearing and Guy Fieri and Morimoto and Scott Conant and Marc Forgione and Hedy Goldsmith and Andrew Zimmern, among others. All these chefs cooked up a feast with the help of hundreds of FIU students – and I keep bringing up the university because I'm a Panther, so deal with it. Miami being Miami, which we beyond-love, the Q After Dark after-party kept guests a- goin' thanks to DJ Ruckus and Flo Rida. That Spanish dios known as Antonio Banderas paid us a quick little visit to introduce his namesake Anta Banderas winery with a seminar at the Perry, f.n.a. the Gansevoort South, while Rachael Ray hosted the Amstel Light Burger Bash out on the Ritz-Carlton South Beach sandbar. Joining her at the sold-out event were Dr. Arthur "South Beach Diet" Agatston, Bobby Flay, Gail Simmons, Spike Mendelsohn, and Wayne Chaplin from Southern Wine & Spirits of America, among others. Also spotted on the beach for the festival was Stephanie March, Flay's wife. Ditto Bethenny Frankel, who stopped by the Best Thing I Ever Ate event. And Anne Burrell, Chris Lilly, Sunny Anderson, Timbaland, the Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, and Tudor House mastermind MIAMI LIVING 109
