SCOOP Lil Jon went crowd-surfing at HIGHBAR at the Dream South Beach. Mario Lopez unveiled his Rated M underwear line at Aventura Mall. Joe Jonas was the beau of the ball at the Victoria's Secret PINK Nation pool party at The Shelborne. Geoffrey Zakarian. Anthony Bourdain, Martha Stewart, molecular gastronomist Wylie Dufresne, and Debi Mazar were among the bold-faced names on hand to pay tribute to Charlie Trotter and Piero Antinori at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Btw, guests at the hot- ticket din-din enjoyed a flash mob-style operatic performance by the Florida Grand Opera. Mazar then hosted the fun Swine & Wine event at The Biltmore, which drew out Isiah Thomas, the head coach of FIU's men's basketball, as well as Lea Black, Adriana De Moura, Joanna Krupa, Marysol Patton, and Ingrid Hoffmann. Meanwhile, Hugh Acheson, Ben Ford, and Michael Symon rubbed elbows at Paula Deen's brunch at the Loews. Needless to say, "Father 'SoBe'" himself, Lee Schrager, was all over this like white on rice, making sure his thousands of guests were enjoying themselves. After the festival, Joanna Krupa threw an early-spring soiree at Mynt to help the Miami Housewives with their fabulous life. And the rumor that she'd be joining the cast for Season 2 kept growing stronger. Kelly Bensimon and Tinsley Mortimer kicked off their March with brunch at Bâoli, where they sipped Rémy Martin V cocktails, while Olivier Martinez played host with the most at the grand opening of his Villa Azur restaurant, which our new musical obsession Jake Miller also attended. Sean Penn enjoyed one of culi-hot spots, Haven South Beach, which I understand he has visited on more than one occasion. The cast of Starz's new shot-in-Miami show Magic City – led by Jeffrey Dean Morgan (TV's Grey's Anatomy) – celebrated its work with (what else!) a party at The Raleigh during the Miami International Film Festival. Kelly Lynch was there, supporting her husband, writer Mitch Glazer, who created the show, as were stars Steven Strait and Yul Vasquez. Paula Abdul enjoyed a breather from her hectic life out west with a meal with friends at SUSHISAMBA dromo, while Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and La Kournikova all hit Zuma (separately). Rosie O'Donnell also stopped in the still- hot downtown spot for dinner with her fiancée, as did Drake and a group of pals. Later in the month, Joe Jonas came back to town to get his spring break on at The Shelborne, which hosted the Victoria's Secret PINK Nation pool party. Also there, turning heads? Models Chanel Iman and Elsa Hosk. (That's when J2 told me he and Nina Agdal were not a couple, in case you were wondering.) The St. Regis Bal Harbour, as you may have already read earlier in this issue, celebrated its much-anticipated debut with Diane Kruger, designer Jason Wu, Nacho Figueras, Wolf Blitzer, and Mary Alice Stephenson in attendance. Nicole Richie shot me a smile but skipped all print interviews at her party celebrating her Ocean Drive cover at Vesper at The Shelborne. Paris Hilton kicked off the Miami Music Week (f.n.a. Winter Music Conference) like, a whole week early when she hit Amnesia to shake her thing to the sounds of Bob Sinclar. A few days later, she and her new beau, Afrojack, stopped by the Dim Mak showcase at Mansion and held court with Steve Aoki. From there, it was off to LIV to watch Benny Benassi play. And then, Hilton La Hilton did her thing at another Dim Mak event, poolside at HIGHBAR at the Dream South Beach, where Lil Jon went crowd- surfing on an inflatable raft and sprayed partygoers with some bubbly. Ever the party girl, Hilton joined Afrojack for his set at Wall at the W South Beach and hung out with a fresh-from-dinner-at-Juvia Paula Abdul, Nicky Hilton, and Tiësto. worldREDEYE.com photographer Seth Browarnik celebrated the unveiling of his "Art of Night: The DJ Series" exhibit with a 110 MIAMI LIVING
