SCOOP Taylor Lautner also checked out the Fins in action. Rihanna hung out poolside at The Setai. Antonio Banderas picked up an award at the Premios Juventud in Fort Lauderdale. and Benji Madden in attendance, as well as Jon Secada and Sammy Sosa. The singer briefly reunited with his ex, La Lopez, so their twins could celebrate his birthday as well. (Sweet.) A couple of days later, Lautner's co- star from The Twilight Saga, Anna Kendrick, also arrived in Miami, to promote her early-fall release 50/50. Lupe Fiasco and Tinie Tempeh rocked it at Alfonso Field at FIU Stadium at FIU's Modesto A. Maidique Campus during Homecoming, while out at the AAA, Chris Brown did his thing, too, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, and Bow Wow joining him on stage for special performances. (Hear it was a hit – ha!) Oh, Marlon and Shawn Wayans also helped FIU celebrate Homecoming, btw. In town on a Food Network thing, chefs Bobby Flay and Anne Burrell stayed at the EPIC, hit Zuma for dinner, and hung out at the hotel's new Kyma Lounge, while Petra Nemcova hosted a La Perla luncheon at the Mondrian South Beach, which also drew out Tyra Banks while she was in town promoting her book, Modelland. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade celebrated the South Florida All-Star Classic, which took place at FIU's U.S. Century Bank Arena and – oh yeah – pitted them against each other, with a friendly dinner at STK Miami Beach. At the same time, the cast of Charlie's Angels shot some scenes of the show at SUGARCANE raw bar grill in Midtown Miami. Finally, that hot dish Ben Cohen, the British rugby player who established a foundation to fight the bullying of LGBT teens, was honored with an award during The Task Force's annual Miami Recognition Dinner, a.k.a. Sparkle, at the 'bleau. Cult fave Pam Grier also was in attendance. Oh, and as for Cameron Diaz…girlfriend didn't really make it to town as much over the summer – she and Alex Rodriguez broke up. His loss is also Miami's, unfortch. I liked having her around – I was kinda hoping she'd open another restaurant in town. Anyway, until next time… have fun! ML MIAMI LIVING 111
