SCOOP Miami Star Report Words by Martin Haro What a summer! Last time we left this exciting and ongoing sociological exercise of chronicling celebrities' movements in Miami otherwise known as Star Sightings – ha! – we were all tickled because Tom Cruise was in town, Cameron Diaz had become a fixture in the Magic City once again, and Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were an item still. Just, what? Three months later? All that's changed. Like the seasons, those celebs and Miami, I tell ya. Early summer saw the long-awaited U2 concert finally – finally! – take place at Sun Life Stadium, with Florence + the Machine as the opening act. Bono even took some time to hit the premiere after-party for Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which director Michael Bay and Tyrese Gibson also attended, at LIV at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Meanwhile, Florence Welch held court at Wall at the W South Beach, with her band mates. The star-studded Rock of Ages cast continued making themselves at home in our neck of the woods (and our hot spots), with Malin Akerman partying at Wall, and Julianne Hough, hitting all the right places (like Prime 112 or Prime Italian) whenever boyfriend Ryan Seacrest popped into town. Mary J. Blige showed everyone why she's the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul when she was spotted at the Delano, hanging out on the terrace and being gracious to every fan that approached her for a pic or an autograph. Lenny Kravitz turned heads at Zuma Miami at the EPIC Hotel downtown, while Robin Thicke and wife Paula Patton kept 'em lookin' when they hit the beach on South Beach, and Jesse Eisenberg and Aziz Ansari had 'em in stitches at an event on behalf of their comedy 30 Minutes Or Less. A pre-broken-engagement Kristin Cavallari was all smiles and a hot body at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim at The Raleigh, hitting the runway for Diesel, which had STAR SIGHTINGS Tyra Banks promoted her book Modelland in Miami. Pitbull performed at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach over Labor Day. Jennifer Lopez celebrated her birthday with dinners at The Forge and Scarpetta. 108 MIAMI LIVING
