Ferrari developed the chassis in carbon fiber and gave the cabin a driver-focused “1+” configuration. Although the F80 seats two, the cockpit places greater emphasis on the driver while allowing Ferrari to reduce the overall cabin width, weight and aerodynamic drag. The exterior signals a shift in Ferrari’s design direction, combining functional aerodynamic elements with references to aerospace and earlier Ferrari supercars. The result is a car shaped as much by airflow and performance requirements as by traditional styling.
