Event - CONTEXT CONTEXT Art Miami, the sister fair to Art Miami focused on emerging and mid-career artists, returns to One Herald Plaza December 1–6, 2026, during Miami Art Week. Its 14th edition will feature international galleries from cities including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Beijing, Cape Town, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Miami, New York, Paris and Seoul. The fair will showcase new and recent works, solo presentations, curated projects, immersive installations and large-scale artworks, offering collectors, curators and art enthusiasts opportunities to discover artists shaping contemporary art. “Discovery has always been at the heart of CONTEXT Art Miami,” said Julian Navarro, the fair’s director, highlighting the participating galleries’ diverse artistic approaches and their contributions to contemporary practice. Exhibitors include Artventurous Gallery, Bel-Air Fine Art, Hilton Contemporary, Iconic Images Gallery, Liquid Art System, Nisticovich Gallery, Perseus Gallery, Steidel Contemporary and Uniquity Art Gallery, alongside galleries representing emerging voices and established talent. Opening day will feature street artist and activist Shepard Fairey, recipient of the 2026 Art Miami Lifetime Visionary Award. Known for his influential OBEY campaign and iconic 2008 Barack Obama HOPE portrait, Fairey has spent more than four decades exploring the intersections of fine art, street culture and political activism. Fairey will perform an exclusive DJ set at CONTEXT on December 1 at 7:30 p.m. In recognition of the performance, the fair will extend its opening-night hours until 9:30 p.m. His Miami Art Week contributions also include a curated presentation at the Art Miami VIP Lounge, a DJ set at Aqua Art Miami on December 2 and a new exterior mural at the Aqua Hotel in Miami Beach. CONTEXT and Art Miami offer complementary perspectives on modern and contemporary art, with CONTEXT emphasizing emerging and mid-career artists. A connecting passageway allows visitors to explore both fairs at the same waterfront destination on Biscayne Bay. Both fairs open December 1 with a Platinum VIP Preview from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by an invitation-only VIP Preview from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Both previews benefit Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), before public admission begins at 4 p.m. For the first time, CONTEXT Art Miami will remain open until 9:30 p.m. on opening night, giving visitors additional time to explore its exhibitions and celebrate the start of Miami Art Week.
