Art Basel Miami This December, Miami becomes the center of the global art world with Art Basel Miami Beach 2026, taking place December 4–6, following VIP previews on December 2–3. Founded in 2002 as the sister fair to Art Basel in Switzerland, the Miami Beach edition is one of the Americas' most influential international art fairs, attracting collectors, museum directors, artists, and critics from around the world. Held at the Miami Beach Convention Center, the fair brings together nearly 280 leading galleries from five continents. Supported by Global Lead Partner UBS, its presentations range from 20th-century masterworks to contemporary art, monumental installations, and emerging creative practices. The exhibition is organized into specialized sectors. Galleries presents museum-quality paintings, sculptures, photography, and mixed media. Meridians features large-scale installations and performances, while Nova highlights works created within the past three years. Positions introduces emerging artists through solo presentations, Survey explores historical movements and overlooked artists, and Kabinett presents focused exhibitions within gallery booths. Zero 10 highlights digital and generative art. Beyond the exhibition floor, the Conversations series brings together influential artists, curators, and collectors for discussions about contemporary art and the international market. The Magazines sector showcases independent publications and critical perspectives. As the centerpiece of Miami Art Week, Art Basel complements exhibitions and events throughout the city, including Design Miami, Untitled Art, and NADA, alongside cultural programming in Wynwood, the Miami Design District, and South Beach. Hours VIP previews take place December 2–3, 2026. On Wednesday, December 2, First Choice cardholders gain access beginning at 11:00 AM, followed by the VIP Preview from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Thursday, December 3, features additional VIP access and the afternoon Vernissage reception. Public admission runs Friday, December 4, through Sunday, December 6, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily. First Access ticket holders may enter at 11:00 AM, while general admission begins at noon. Location Art Basel Miami Beach takes place at the Miami Beach Convention Center, located at 1901 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach. Just blocks from South Beach, the venue offers convenient access to Miami's museums, restaurants, galleries, and satellite art fairs throughout the city.
