he saw his beloved pickup truck in the middle of the Sunset Pier reception. His family had it shipped from Oklahoma and Ocean Key Resort took it from there. Other decor included classic Americana, Brooke's collection of vintage tablecloths, and a bounty of flowers and festival lights by Avant Gardens. As the sun sank and turned the sky to gold, Brooke's musician friends played old school requests, and later Brooke performed a song she'd written for her husband as a toast. No one could remember ever seeing Dan that shade of red. The Sunset Pier was large enough to welcome family and friends from far and wide. The Ocean Key Resort and Simply You Weddings balanced the personalities of two individuals, creating one event that no one could resist. California wine poured alongside rum. Denim and linen were paired with both flip-flops and cowboy boots. If ever a place could bring together different worlds, it's Key West. The island where the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico combine to become one—much like Brooke and Dan at their southernmost wedding.
