Born and raised in Napa, California, Brooke left the family horse ranch to travel the country as a singer- songwriter. She had composed in diners, at the edge of the Grand Canyon, by campfires and at rodeos. In New Orleans, she decided Key West would be her last stop. She'd write a few songs, play a few dates, and leave with a tan. The time had come to grow up, be reasonable, and settle down. She'd sing at weddings in the vineyards and finally open her vintage clothing store. But the day that she swam with a sea turtle below her, Key West stole her heart. Then, a sweet country boy bought her a drink after a show and stole it a second time. He and that grin. So much for settling. The couple wanted to showcase the best of Key West at their destination wedding. A day trip to Boca Grande for fishing and kayaking. A picnic on a sand bar. A late night of revelry on Duval Street. By wedding day, more than a few guests had fallen hard for Key West, too. The wedding party combined the best of an Oklahoma reunion, a California picnic, and a Key West vacation.
