In 2006, he received a scholarship from the National Endowment of the Arts to study music criticism at the prestigious Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He has enjoyed being the classical music contributor at WLRN (NPR) South Florida Arts Beat (91.3FM) for close to a decade. Interviews include: renowned New World Symphony conductor Michael Tilson Thomas, violinist Joshua Bell, and pianists Valentina Lisitsa and Jean-Yves Thibaudet.
