An Appetizing Ascension The rise of The Dutch's Executive Chef Adonay Tafur In November 2011, New York restaurateur & chef Andrew Carmellini, along with Josh Pickard and Luke Ostrom brought their wildly-popular American restaurant and its roots-inspired cuisine to the W South Beach Hotel & Residences with The Dutch. For the Miami Beach location, they partnered with KNR Hospitality's Nicola Siervo who also owns and operates Wall, W South Beach's nightlife destination, Wet and W Living Room Bar. The menu at The Dutch pays homage to Carmellini's road trips across America --the local cafes, corner taverns, neighborhood bistros, seaside shacks, and roadside joints that dot our country's culinary landscape. For the Miami outpost, he has added some iconic dishes he associates with Miami, such as sour orange pie, little oyster sandwiches, and local shrimp. As in Manhattan, the restaurant also features an oyster bar, signature cocktails, and an extensive whiskey collection.
