Your New Happy Place Skybar at the Shore Club Word by Claudia Paredes Skybar, at the Shore Club, captures a sense of luxury and hominess that other upscale bars tend to lack. What truly sets this bar apart from the rest is the enormous backyard that lives behind the hotel. Not your average bar scene, there are plenty of different areas to explore. Whether you visit on a weekday or on the weekend, Skybar has something special planned for you. Known as one of the best happy hours in South Beach, Sunday through Thursday happy hour starts at 4 p.m. until closing, and on Fridays and Saturdays is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Skybar is the ideal place to begin your night, meet new people, and relax. We were very impressed with their happy hour menu, which has something for everyone: wine, beer, cocktails, and light snacks like the finger-licking-good chicken quesadillas and feta fries. Their signature cocktails are creative, delicious, and all made with fresh fruits —and the presentation is spectacular. We recommend The Shore Club Refresher and Skybar Martini —two of the best cocktails available. You will not leave hungry or thirsty. The sight at Skybar is absolutely breathtaking, you can easily spend hours here. Get comfortable—and lost—in the colorful Moroccan-themed garden. Trust me, you will forget where you are. Officially known as the Redroom Garden, this space is a secret gem decorated with palm trees, plants everywhere, a fish sanctuary that stretches across one of the pathways to the pool, and large candlelight lanterns that guide your way through this tropical maze. There are large, lush pillows, wicker chairs, hammocks, and queen-sized daybeds that contour the main pool—one after the other. Once you find the perfect spot, sit down, and get comfortable. It's easy to find a private area where you won't be bothered. Rumbar has over 75 rums—you want it, they have it. And what's best, it's right in between the two infinity pools. Given its central location, outstanding service, and fabulous décor –you're likely to spot a celebrity or two here at any given night. The party at Skybar is best on Friday and Saturday nights, when world-famous DJs delight guests with their beats. Be sure to visit Shore Club this April and May as they are hosting a variety of events to kickoff spring festivities. ML Skybar is located at Shore Club: 1901 Collins Avenue, South Beach.
