"Don't worry about a thing, 'cause every little thing is gonna be alright…" –Bob Marley. As soon as I touchdown in Montego Bay, that carefree vibe that Jamaicans famously subscribe to washes over me. Perhaps it's the reggae playing on the radio or the frosty Red Stripe provided by my gracious chauffeur, whatever it is, all my troubles melt away during the hour-and-a-half drive to Negril --which is known for its shallow bays, cliffs, and Seven Mile Beach. The Cliff Hotel, as the name suggests, resides on beautiful cliffs overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The hotel's architecture is stately and inviting with its light-colored walls and chocolate-hued trim. Beyond the open-air lobby is a postcard- worthy scene: towering palm trees stand watch over a pool, while the sparkling sea playfully dances in the sun. Everything is brighter and more beautiful than imaginable --it's almost as if you're seeing it all through an enhanced photo filter. As the hotel staff checks me in, I relish my complimentary Moscow mule and appreciate my view.
