It has a skate park, sailing program for juniors, dog park, picnic shelters and The Bill Graham Farm Village. A re-creation of the early pioneer homesteads, the village features a barn with petting zoo, a shed for demonstrations like horseshoeing, country store, boiling shed and sugar cane press. This journey back in time is educational and fun. Sunrise to sunset. No admission fee, but you may be charged for some of the amenities. GOLD COAST RAILROAD MUSEUM 12450 SW 152nd St. | Cutler Ridge (305) 253-0063 | goldcoast-railroad.org Situated on half a mile of rail, this museum highlights the history and preservation of historic railroad equipment. Historical cars are on display like the Ferdinand Magellan, which has served past presidents such as Franklin D. Roosevelt and Harry Truman. Children can hop aboard the Edwin Link Children's Railroad for a 20-minute ride on the 2-feet gauge track. Weekdays: 10am-4pm Weekends: 11am-4pm 12 & up $5, 12 and under $3. HISTORICAL MUSEUM OF SOUTH FLORIDA 101 West Flagler St. | Miami (305) 375-1492 | hmsf.org The history of South Florida as well as that of Florida's closest neighbor, the Caribbean, is found right here. With various exhibits running throughout the year, visitors can learn and view photos of the south's past. Within the 15,000 square feet, there are 14 lanes, a bar/lounge, and restaurant serving up great food. Plan your next party here or come for some weekend fun. Sunday-Thursday: 11:30pm-3am. Observe Miccosukee Indians as they engage in the art of doll making, beadwork, woodcarving, patchwork and basket weaving.
