Free Arts NYC photography program for low-income children in New York City. Launching this year, the program will help inspire these children, who see violence, drugs, and deprivation in their neighborhoods, to create a different vision for their future. The $125 totes are available at Tommy Hilfiger retail locations in Miami, natch, as well as New York City and Washington, D.C., and online at www.tommy.com. Hilfiger, it must be noted, has been a major sponsor of The Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis and its Race to Erase MS event since 1997—he has a sister living with MS—so his charity work is not limited to the arts. He has helped the annual star- studded gala benefit raise more than $30 million for multiple sclerosis research to date. Tommy hearts Miami Hilfiger revealed to ML that one of his favorite spots in Miami are Casa Tua and Prime 112. He has become quite fond of the Gansevoort South in the short time since it has been opened, "especially Philippe." He rather impressed us when we asked if perhaps we could tip him off to a spot in West Miami. "It's off the Couth Beach beaten path," we said, "but you really should try Nunzio's." "Nunzio's—I've been there," he said. "Really?" "Yeah. I love it." That is the last time we try to stomp a celebrity. The call A week after our impromptu encounter at The Raleigh, Tommy Hilfiger called yours truly on my cell phone. This follow-up call we had set up properly, so I took the chance to ask him just who his favorite celebrities to dress are. "It changes from time to time," he said. "Sometimes it's musicians, you know, sometimes it's Hollywood people. It depends on the season. Diane Kruger looks great in my clothes. So does Hilary Swank." And who are the young designers this industry veteran, who says it was not until he was 18 years old that he knew he wanted to be in fashion, is watching? "Thom Browne is doing some exciting stuff. Tory Burch, Peter Som, too," he said. And while all of these up-and-comers are just swell, they are light years away from really being as cool as Tommy Hilfiger. Don't take our word for it—drop on by www.tommy.com and pay him a visit…. ML 68 MIAMI LIVING FASHION EXCLUSIVE!
