ML The Standard 40 Island Avenue Miami Beach, FL 33139 (305) 673-1717 www.standardhotels.com The Standard Hotel and Spa has become a staple in Miami as a sanctuary for relaxation. The 14,000 square foot spa is inspired after an ancient Roman bath house, designed for social gathering, health activities, exercise, and fun. Contrary to the traditional solitary approach to pampering, this coed facility promotes communal, shared rituals with a "Do-It-Yourself" selection of hydrotherapy. The spa features an Aroma Steam Room, Cedar Sauna, Sound Pool, Roman Waterfall Hot Tub, and Mud Lounge. For exclusive pampering, the spa offers hotel guests in-room treatments including therapeutic massage, acupuncture, Chinese herbal baths, and restorative mind-body therapies. Located on Biscayne Bay's Belle Island, The Standard's outdoor pool opens up to beautiful panoramic views of the bay for tranquil sun bathing or unwinding in the pool side hot tub. YOLO 333 E Las Olas Blvd Fort Lauderdale, FL (954) 523-1000 www.yolorestaurant.com YOLO (You Only Live Once) is Fort Lauderdale's new contemporary American restaurant and lounge offering a nice combination of nightlife and chic, casual dining. Inside, O Lounge offers a more low key experience for post meal cocktails. Interior dining provides views to the open kitchen and overlooks the outside patio bar. The restaurant also features a private room, perfect for business meetings and special occasions. YOLO's menu presents a gourmet approach to American classics, like rotisserie chicken and bourbon-glazed pork chops, in addition to a nice seafood selection, such as Asian-style crispy calamari and wild Mediterranean mussels. Fontainebleau 4441 Collins Av Miami Beach, FL (305) 538-2000 www.fontainebleau.com The Fontainebleau recently reopened its doors after undergoing a $1-billion make- over, bringing back this iconic Miami resort that helped earn Miami's reputation as the America Riviera when it originally opened in 1954. Today, this oceanside resort houses 1,504 rooms, 58 meeting rooms, and three ballrooms. Home to LIV, Miami's largest nightclub, and Blade lounge, guests do not have to venture far to fulfill their entertainment needs.
