Kerry Washington spread the Election 2008 word in Miami Beach. Jay-Z greeted voters at a Barack Obama rally at Florida Memorial University. Also getting out the vote at FMU was Diddy. George Lopez lent his voice on behalf of the Democrat at Florida International University's University Park campus. On historical Nov. 4, Nixon celebrated Obama's win at Halo, while Jamie Foxx and Michael Bay welcomed the good news at Mokaï, where the actor reportedly bought a round of champagne for everyone in the house. Kevin Spacey was spotted at The Florida Room two nights in a row. Meanwhile, former Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell tried the new Rare Steakhouse on 41 st Street in Miami Beach, and headed to the same hot spot after dinner. Fling co-stars Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) and wife Courtney Ford supported their movie at the 23 rd Annual Fort Lauderdale Film Festival, and Richard Chamberlain, Jane Lynch, and Eli Wallach also attended the festival. Luis Miguel performed at the AmericanAirlines Arena, Rufus Wainwright took the stage at The Fillmore Miami Beach at The Jackie Gleason Theater, and Coldplay rocked the house at the BankAtlantic Center. Kim Kardashian, Adrian Grenier, DJ Irie, Heatherette's Richie Rich, and former baseball player Mike Piazza attended the 14 th Annual Make-A-Wish Ball at the InterContinental Miami. Grenier's band, The Honey Brothers, performed at the event, which raised $1.3 million in wishes for children around the region. The night before the ball, Shareek Malnik hosted Grenier for a private dinner at The Forge, at which the star of HBO's Entourage channeled his Vincent Chase alter ego and happily took phone numbers from eager lady fans. The ever gorgeous Victoria's Secret Angels—Heidi Klum, Karolina Kurkova, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Selita Ebanks (whom Miami Living featured in our last issue), Marisa Miller, Miranda Kerr, and Doutzen Kroes— descended on South Beach to visit the retailer's store on Lincoln Road. The models were in town to walk down the runway at the annual Victoria's Secret fashion show, held in 2008 for the first time in the Magic City at the renovated Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Prior to her Victoria's Secret commitments, Klum was spotted at Nobu, having sushi and ice cream. A-Rod also enjoyed the eatery's offerings with some pals. The Fontainebleau's relaunch and the Victoria's Secret fashion show at the hotel definitely were the other big even of November, and as such they obviously were star-studded affairs. Arriving in town for the occasion was Robin Thicke, as well as Chloë Sevigny, Sex and the City's Jason Lewis, Stacey Keibler, Geoff Stults, A-Rod, DJ Irie, and Matt Groening (the man behind TV's The Simpsons). Before the weekend-long extravaganza, Lewis hit Equinox South Beach to work on his back muscles. Also on the guest list for the evening were Terrence Howard, Molly Sims, Amaury Nolasco (TV's Prison Break), Spencer Grammer, Brett Ratner, Cloverfield's Odette Yustman, Eve, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, as well as Kristin Cavallari, Martha Stewart, and Robert Buckley (TV's Lipstick Jungle).
