The modular concept allows the cylinders to be finished with either a conical or semi-spherical diffuser, giving the design different profiles while maintaining the same architectural approach. Functionality is kept straightforward. A pedal dimmer provides light adjustment from 10 to 100 percent, allowing the lamp to shift from lower ambient illumination to a stronger light source. A wall-mounted power supply with interchangeable plugs is also included. The Noctambule collection reflects Grcic’s approach to combining industrial construction with minimal forms. Its use of transparent glass means much of the lamp’s physical presence comes from light itself rather than a conventional shade or solid structure.
