with sausage, black and white pudding, Irish bacon, eggs, baked beans and toast. The Leinster also serves its Irish Spice Bag, combining chicken, spiced fries, peppers, onions and Irish curry sauce. The pub’s beef and lamb stew has become another signature. Earlier this year, it was named Miami’s “Best Irish Stew” by the Consulate General of Ireland in Miami, recognition that reflects The Leinster’s focus on traditional Irish fare. Behind the bar, Guinness plays an equally important role, with each pint prepared using the traditional two-part pour. The beer has also inspired one of the pub’s recurring traditions, the “Split the G” challenge, where guests try to finish their first sip with the foam line perfectly bisecting the “G” on a Guinness glass. Sports are another part of the pub’s weekly rhythm. Multiple screens carry Premier League and Champions League matches alongside NFL, rugby, Gaelic football, Inter Miami and other major sporting events. Morning matches pair naturally with a full Irish breakfast, while larger games bring the kind of shared viewing experience long associated with pub culture. That community focus becomes particularly visible during larger celebrations. For St. Patrick’s Day 2026, The Leinster expanded the holiday into a multi-day program featuring Irish dancers, DJs, live music, a traditional Irish roast, and a competitive Split the G tournament. Building on the success of its first celebration, The Leinster is already planning to go bigger in 2027, with a St. Patrick’s Day block party scheduled for Saturday, March 13. Rather than treating the holiday as a single night out, these celebrations reflect the broader identity the pub is developing in Edgewater: a neighborhood gathering place where Irish traditions, local culture, and community come together. For founder Paul Cleary, the sense of community is central to The Leinster’s identity: “At its heart, The Leinster is a neighborhood bar, much like the traditional Irish pubs you find around the world—a place where people come together, feel at home, and become part of the community. We bring that Irish spirit to Miami while embracing the city’s diverse cultures through our food, from Irish favorites like our spring rolls to Taco Tuesday and other globally inspired dishes. Sports are another big part of what we do, and our partnerships with groups like the American Outlaws and the Miami Gooners help make The Leinster a home for fans to share their passion. We want to be more than just a place to eat or have a drink; we want to be a place where the neighborhood connects and makes memories.” Ultimately, The Leinster’s identity is less about recreating Ireland literally than carrying forward some of the traditions that make Irish pubs enduring gathering places: familiar food, properly poured pints, sport, conversation and a sense that there is always room for one more person at the table. In a city shaped by different cultures and communities, The Leinster has found its place by keeping that idea simple. Come for dinner, a match or a pint, and stay for the people around you.
