For collectors, acquiring a work of art is only the beginning. Living with art requires thoughtful stewardship. Temperature stability, humidity control, calibrated lighting, electrical reliability and protection from plumbing failures can all contribute to the environment surrounding a collection. These considerations are especially important in South Florida, where heat, humidity, salt air and severe weather place distinctive demands on sophisticated residences and their essential systems. “Miami Art Week celebrates extraordinary creativity, but it also reminds us that art does not live only in museums and galleries,” said Ori Lapidot, President of Omnio Concierge Home Warranty. “It becomes part of the home and part of everyday life. At Omnio, we believe the residence surrounding that art deserves an equally thoughtful standard of care- we like to call it, Healthcare for your home.” A luxury home functions as a carefully composed ecosystem. HVAC and humidity-control equipment help maintain interior comfort and consistency. Electrical systems support specialized lighting, security, motorized shades and connected-home technology. Plumbing systems, water heaters, refrigeration, wine storage and other appliances sustain the daily experience of the residence.
