RGS Europe - A Spanish Legacy Arrives in South Florida With a new U.S. headquarters in Coral Gables, RGS Europe (rgseurope.com ) brings five decades of craftsmanship, advanced manufacturing, and international design expertise to Miami’s luxury interiors market. Spanish architectural millwork and interior design firm RGS Europe has established its U.S. headquarters in Coral Gables, investing approximately $8 million in its expansion and targeting projects valued at up to $15 million. Founded in Galicia, Spain, more than five decades ago, the company has evolved from a family woodworking workshop into an international operation with projects in over 60 countries. The expansion reflects growing demand for highly customized interiors that combine architectural precision, sophisticated materials, and contemporary technology. In an exclusive interview with Miami Living Magazine, Santiago Agardy, CEO of RGS Europe USA, discussed the company’s heritage, its ambitions in South Florida, and the changing expectations of luxury design. From a Family Workshop to a Global Enterprise RGS Europe’s story began in Santiago de Compostela, where Ramón García and his wife established a small carpentry workshop. A defining moment came through an early relationship with Amancio Ortega, founder of Zara. The company helped build the retailer’s first store and subsequently supported its international expansion. “That experience helped the company develop the ability to deliver projects at scale while maintaining consistency and quality,” Agardy explains. “It also demonstrated the importance of trust and long-term relationships.” Today, RGS Europe employs more than 1,000 people, with manufacturing facilities in Spain and Mexico. Its portfolio includes luxury residences, hotels, retail environments, and commercial interiors. In South Florida, the company has contributed custom millwork and furnishings to Fendi Château Residences and The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Sunny Isles Beach. International projects include St. Regis Aruba, Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica, Epic Marbella, and VIP areas at Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. The Art of Modern Craftsmanship At the heart of RGS Europe’s identity is the relationship between traditional craftsmanship
