Inside CounterPoint The book presents each of its 53 artworks across a two-page spread measuring 12 inches high by 24 inches wide. One page features the artwork, while the facing page provides its title, year, dimensions, materials, and Jansen’s commentary. Alongside the selected works, CounterPoint includes an introduction and overview written by Jansen, as well as essays, reviews, and contributions from art historians, educators, and other cultural figures. The publication also documents exhibitions and installations from the past decade, including works addressing Euro-American colonization and exploitation. On a more personal note, the book includes a dedication to Jansen’s first daughter, born earlier in 2026. For Jansen, the publication represents an opportunity to present his artistic development through his own perspective. “Over the years, books have been written, films have been made, but this is the most exciting professional venture in my life and career,” Jansen says. He describes the opportunity to share the past decade of his work, including previously unseen pieces, as a defining moment in his career.
