The Miami presentation comes as the Italian company marks its 70th anniversary in 2026. BECOMING was created as a yearlong framework connecting new product development with art, architecture and events. The project reflects how Rimadesio has evolved while maintaining a consistent approach to materials, technology and architectural integration. At the Miami flagship, the focus shifts to the collection itself. Rimadesio describes BECOMING as an evolution of its design language, introducing new materials, finishes and solutions while continuing the company’s long collaboration with designer and art director Giuseppe Bavuso. The collection was originally presented during Milan Design Week 2026 before moving into presentations at international flagship locations. The 2026 introductions range from individual furniture pieces to architectural systems. Ori, a new chair by Bavuso, is built around a continuous curved wooden element that forms the backrest and armrests, with seating available in woven cord, leather or fabric. Its construction combines solid ash wood with handcrafted joints and finishing techniques. Two new armchairs explore different approaches to comfort and structure. Althea pairs a high upholstered backrest with a slim stainless-steel frame and can be accompanied by a footstool, while Ascot uses a solid ash structure with a suspended leather shell, padded backrest and leather seat cushion. The Wabi Stool extends the existing Wabi chair concept into a counter-height format with a wood frame and seating in woven cord or leather. Elsewhere in the collection, Lambda expands with new material and finish combinations. The table is offered in round and elliptical versions, with new glossy lacquered options, a glass-top configuration paired with lacquer, marble, wood or Terrae bases, and a round marble version with a revolving tray. Rimadesio’s architectural systems remain central to the collection. Cover Sign updates the Cover storage system with veneered aluminum hinged doors and narrow vertical elements, while Self Blade develops the modular Self system with aluminum side panels, suspended compositions and an optional illuminated open compartment. Syncro introduces synchronized sliding panels that move together without a floor pin, allowing two-, three- and four-way configurations to divide or connect interior spaces.
