Gallery Peres Projects This December, dive into Peres Projects’ captivating roster. On the occasion of its participation in the 2023 edition of Art Basel Miami Beach, the gallery will showcase a thoughtfully curated selection of new works by an international group of artists, including Donna Huanca, Rebecca Ackroyd, Nicholas Grafia, Melike Kara, and Dalton Gata, among others. With a focus on painting and sculpture, Peres Projects is bringing to Miami works that are shaping and contributing to ongoing conversations in contemporary art and beyond. This kaleidoscopic presentation brings together works that offer multiple perspectives on temporality, featuring practices that engage in dialogue with cultural traditions and art history, both embracing and reimagining them. Drawing inspiration from various influences, such as popular culture, traditional and folk art practices, and ecology, the featured artists explore emotional and aesthetic resonances and connections across various histories, peering through cracks in dominant narratives and pulling them open. Employing various expressive languages of figuration and abstraction, and combining diverse materials and techniques, these works are translations of the artists’ minds. United by a shared commitment to the transformative power of art, they reflect efforts to digest, interpret and reshape the world.
