HERNAN BAS: THE CONCEPTUALISTS ON VIEW MON DEC 4, 2023 - MAY 5, 2024 Hernan Bas: The Conceptualists explores conceptual art as a permissive realm for creative behavior and an inviting space for queerness, referring not only to sexual orientation but to the idiosyncrasies peculiar to cultural identities. Miami-based artist Hernan Bas exhibits 35 paintings, some never before seen in a museum, including his largest canvas to date measuring some 9 by 21 feet. ANNE DUK HEE JORDAN: I WILL ALWAYS WEATHER WITH YOU ON VIEW MON DEC 4, 2023 – JUNE 23, 2024 Artist Anne Duk Hee Jordan uses videos, installations, sound and kinetic objects to create enveloping environments that draw visitors into dialogue with natural phenomena, technology, and art. Jordan’s first solo exhibition in the United States, I will always weather with you is a multisensory scene that corresponds to the many characteristics of weather, a resonant theme to South Florida communities that experience storm related events with increasing frequency, power, and impact. SOCIAL ASSEMBLY: WELCOME TO THE MUSEUM ON VIEW SUN DEC 3, 2023 – OCT 26, 2024 Engage differently with the museum in Social Assembly, a multifaceted exhibition offering a communal space for the public to informally gather with art and each other.
