Created for the "young-minded" traveler, these reasonably priced pod-size rooms are the smart way to go when you're trying to stretch your buck. And you don't have to settle! Pod 39 is chic, fresh and cozy. Splashed in a palette of bright red and gray, the hotel is a streamlined, airy space that encourages visitors to socialize in their hip, common areas at the front of the hotel. Driven by technology, its lobby boasts a wall of iPads for convenient internet access, as well as offers an online concierge, The Pod Community Blog, which acts as a guide for guests. Within the lobby is where you'll meet their friendly concierge, equipped to assist you with unique Pod-only tours, directions, dining needs and more during your stay at Pod 39. Its urban vibe is highlighted as you ascend to your room in the glass- encased elevators that whiz past exposed steel and concrete. Pod 39 has masterminded making the most use out of a small space. Boasting 366 rooms, each "pod" is outfitted with a desk, safe, beneath-the-bed storage space, an open closet, an LCD flat screen TV, light dimmers, cool black shutters, free Wi-Fi, and a frosted- glass-enclosed bathroom equipped with a luxurious rain-head shower and environmentally-conscious Red Flower bath products. Choose from a variety of rooms– the "single pod" has a twin bed for the traveler on his or her own, "bunk pods" boast contemporary silver twin bunk beds as well as dual bunk beds (great for four)—and there's also the "adjoining pods," a perfect solution for family getaways –with a queen pod connected (adjoining door) to a bunk pod.
