MIAMI LIVING 95 PROFILE On With The Show…. Hey guys, tired of seeing the ladies have all the fashion fun? Interested in a head-to- toe fashion wardrobe for the stylish man? (And who isn't?) You're in luck, because building a stylish wardrobe for the discerning modern man is the basis of the 2009 South Beach Men's Show, scheduled for Saturday, July 18, at the Royal Palm Resort Hotel on Collins Avenue. The South Beach Men's Show is an annual high-fashion runway show featuring the latest creations of national and international designers. The show is centered around dressing the stylish South Florida man, from shoes and accessories to swimwear, active wear, lounge wear, suits, and more. This year's show promises to present an exciting mix of the some of the hottest and talented national and international men's designers, highlighting their recent and upcoming collections. The show also brings fresh faces to the male model scene, incorporating up-and-coming national and international male models in with more familiar faces. The evening includes a pre-event red carpet arrival, South Beach style, for designers, celebrities, and other special guests. The show begins at 9 p.m., and is followed by a hot VIP party. "Men are really paying more and more attention to style and grooming and they need a show like this that brings quality, style, and good taste together in one place," says the show's producer, Ian Smith. "We're so excited to be building this show in South Beach because South Beach is synonymous with international fashion." The SoBe Men's Show will feature head- to-toe men's fashion, including men's underwear and swimwear; casual wear, sportswear and loungewear; business and evening attire; and urban looks. One of this year's feature designers is Mundo Unico, a Columbia-based men's fashion design company that creates informal clothing, including bath and pool robes, trunks, shirts, boxers, and shorts. Its latest collection, Filmography, is inspired by the designer's affinity for all things cinema, and can be found in boutiques across the globe. Other key media partners and sponsors of the show include Miami Living Magazine, Express, 411, and Genre Magazine. The show will also be working with major national and international television outlets and plans are in the works to have the show aired on Fashion TV.
