Not sure where to spend your weekend? Nautilus, a SIXTY Hotel has a little something for everyone. Located in the heart of South Beach, this impressive luxury boutique hotel dates back to the 1950s and retains much of its mid- century charm fused with the feel of a luxury beach house. As soon as you enter the hotel, you'll be mesmerized by the 25-foot ceilings. At the front of the hotel is Lobby Bar, a sunken lounge featuring a restored "stairway to nowhere" —the hip new place to socialize. If you're here on a Thursday, don't miss Rhythm & Rum. Every Thursday night specialty rum cocktails are served at the Lobby Bar along with live Latin jazz. Before the weekend activities begin, stop by the hotel's signature restaurant, Nautilus Cabana Club, for a classic Mediterranean dinner any day of the week. Their menu was crafted by executive chef Richard Fuentes, so you know it's good. Sit indoors or out by the saltwater pool surrounded by eight luxurious cabanas boasting their own dining table, minibar, and entertainment system. The food at Nautilus Cabana Club is exquisite. Every dish is made with fresh, local ingredients. It's Mediterranean cuisine with a dash of Miami love. The Beef Kebab is a delicious classic. This main dish—on their All Day menu— features two juicy kebabs over fluffy couscous, stuffed grape leaves with tzatziki sauce on the side. Another favorite is the Greek Flatbread, off the dinner menu, topped with fresh roasted tomatoes, olives, artichoke chunks, and feta cheese. Every Sunday, Nautilus Cabana Club hosts one of the best brunch buffets in Miami: Rosé Sundays, from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. For only $39, (unlimited Rosé for $55) eat, drink, and get a $10 Uber credit for your ride home. The buffet spread is impressive and beautifully presented. There is also live entertainment from Cuban band Chaing Y Su Trova Espiritúana. If you are looking for privacy and something more relaxing, there is a backyard with Bohemian hammocks that overlook the beach. And every Saturday and Sunday afternoon, there's the Asado BBQ in the Backyard, a weekly event where local DJs visit and spin tropical beats. ML Nautilus, a SIXTY Hotel is located at 1825 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. For more information, visit: www.sixtyhotels.com/nautilus-south-beach ON THE SCENE 20 MIAMI LIVING
