Featuring the greatest in indie music, the place has become a staple in the area for this style of music. From jazz, electronic, to all kinds of rock—you can count on an awesome time listening to it all-- live. ARTURO SANDOVAL JAZZ CLUB 6701 Collins Ave. | Miami Beach (305) 403-7565 | arturosandovaljazzclub.com Jazz enthusiasts can thank the Arturo Sandoval Jazz Club in the Deauville Beach Resort for keeping this classic music alive. This is Miami's first serious jazz club to open in decades, performers such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, James Moody, Joshua Redman and Sandoval, himself, have all taken the stage with local acts. Open 6 nights a week; come to enjoy dinner and drinks while you listen to the smooth sounds of jazz. Past acts include, Elefant, Dizzee Rascal, Of Montreal, and Mark Gardener of the band Ride. There's a small stage, and a nice size dance floor to revel in the live performances and dance up a storm. The two-story club features funky beats and sounds by bands like Suenalo Soundsystem and Afro-Cuban funksters, DJ Le Spam and the Spam Allstars. Upstairs you can partake in a game of pool or grab a drink at the bar, while the DJ spins a varied mix of body-moving beats. O'HARA'S JAZZ & BLUES CAFE 722 E. Las Olas Blvd. | Ft. Founder, Kitty Ryan has been serving up live music and appetizing food and drinks at this quaint site for almost 20 years now. MAIN ST. CAFÉ 128 N. This 7,000 sq ft. stylishly decked-out spot boasts a 20'X 20' stage, high-tech sound system, and three bars with a 24-hour liquor license. Ladytron, Stephen, Damien and Ziggy, Marley, and KRS-One-- are just a few who have performed here. VAN DYKE CAFÉ 846 Lincoln Rd. | Miami Beach (305) 534-3600 This hopping restaurant features some of the best live jazz performances in town. Just upstairs, you'll find a cozy yet classy spot to sip fine wine, enjoy tasty morsels, and take in the good old fashioned, mellifluous sounds of jazz. Music TOBACCO ROAD 626 S. Miami Ave. | Miami (305) 374-1198 | tobacco-road.com Visited by legendary blues musicians B.B. King, Koko Taylor, and Albert Collins, this restaurant/bar has seen the best in music perform. This was the first establishment in Miami to hold a liquor license. Live music every night, and the kitchen stays open until 4 am on weekends. What a place!
