Ariana Greenblatt is winning America over with her performances on Dancing with the Stars: Juniors. She might only be 11 years old, but she commands the stage like a true professional. Ariana started her acting career in 2015 on Disney's Liv and Maddie. As someone who has always been a Disney fan, she could not believe she was cast for the role of Raina on one of her favorite TV shows. "I literally cried. Being on the Disney Channel was surreal to me. It was the best! The whole cast was so sweet and amazing to me. Just being on Liv and Maddie was incredible," says Ariana. This guest role was only the beginning for her. It wouldn't take long for her to find a permanent home on the Disney Channel. In 2016, she joined the cast of Stuck in the Middle as Daphne Diaz. The show, which lasted three seasons, became a second home for Ariana. "My favorite thing about being on the show was that the whole cast became like a big family, like we were on the TV show. Behind the scenes, we hung out, watched movies, ate dinner. We really just became a big family and I see them often," she says of the cast that included Jenna Ortega, Isaak Presley, and Kayla Maisonet. Becoming an actress was something Ariana always dreamed of. "Ever since I was a little baby, I loved to perform, make pretend, and dress up like characters. I would go in my mom and dad's closet and pick out these crazy clothes they had, and make up characters and make impressions," she explains. "I just love making up characters and pretending to be someone else." Her contagious smile and big, brown eyes make Ariana difficult to forget. Not to mention her sweet, full-of-energy voice, which adds to her wholesome demeanor. The half Puerto Rican, half Caucasian, young actress has a big personality, which she has already taken to the big screen. In 2017, Ariana landed her first movie break on A Bad Mom's Christmas as Lori (Jay Hernandez's character's daughter), and then in 2018, she was cast for the iconic role of Young Gamora (Zoe Saldana portrays the grown- up character) on Avengers: Infinity War. "It was incredible, especially because my dad and brother are obsessed with the Avengers movies, and so am I," she says. "When I got the role, I cried my eyes out, I was so happy and grateful that I had the opportunity to play this role. And being on set, and meeting these amazing superheroes was really a dream come true." At such a young age, Ariana has already experienced both the challenges of TV production and the glamour of a big blockbuster, and she loves them both. "You have to really commit to a TV show, which I'm all down for. You come to work every single day, have certain call times, and you only play one character, which is super cool. And then movies, it's like a certain period of time. I love them both very much equally. And I love being different characters."
