"When I moved back to L.A., I went to visit some friends at SUR and Lisa Vanderpump was there. She saw me interacting with everybody and asked me if I needed a job, and with that job came the offer of being on Vanderpump Rules," she explains. "It was all a very organic fit." From a young age, Lala knew she would be an actress when she grew up and has been participating in the arts since the age of 12. "I would sing in church and was in all the school musicals and plays. That's what I was born to do. My mom told me that when I was 2 years old I would make sure everyone was very quiet so that I could put on a performance," she laughs. "I've always just wanted to be on set, just wanted to be in front of the camera. I didn't see another job for me, I always knew I wanted to skip college, move to L.A., and dive into the arts." Lala came into this world to be a performer. After she graduated from high school, she moved to Los Angeles and started fit modeling—a job she thought sounded easy, but in reality was draining. "I just did every thing in my power to make sure I could be in front of a camera and not have to do what most people do, which is move out and get a waitressing job—nothing that I have against that—I just knew I needed to do something that I loved at all times," she explains. Shortly after this time in Los Angeles, she moved back to Utah where she enrolled in a community college. Eventually, Lala would transfer to the University of Utah. One cold day as she was walking around campus, she realized this wasn't for her. "I'm going back to L.A. to give it a second chance," she remembers telling herself.
