Camilla teases that Grey's Anatomy will continue to present the audience with tons of surprises and never- before-seen circumstances. "We've been able to see Jo in married life with Alex. They don't have a lot of drama. So, of course, each table read, we're waiting on drama to happen, but it's been nice to watch them enjoy their relationship," she says about her on-screen marriage with Dr. Alex Karev, played by Justin Chambers. But what's a medical drama without the drama? "I get to meet Alex's mom and we do get to meet Jo's family later this season. How will that go? I haven't read the script yet. No one knows any thing about her family, so I'm excited for whenever that happens." Since joining the show in Season 9, lots of things have changed. "Characters leave and new characters join. There's an influx of new energy and storylines to tell. One of the big things this season is that we had our first male on male kiss on camera. It was a really exciting, huge deal. You'd think with how long the show has been on the air, we'd have done everything, but we're always experiencing new things like this. It's just a testament to the writers and how amazing they are." Camilla is also the voice of the empowering Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider video game. "I screamed when I found I would play her. She's so iconic. Growing up, the only female heroine I've heard of is Lara Croft. There weren't really many with female characters. It was incredible to be able to step into her boots, but also super intimidating. She's a hugely established character and it's been an amazing journey. It's the character I've played the longest — since 2010!" Camilla, who has been to a few Comic-Cons, thoroughly enjoys the cosplay. "Those fans are the most dedicated and those cosplay uniforms are incredible! Working on the project takes much longer than you'd like —it takes years to make a game. But it's incredible to see how excited everyone is." But, of all the roles she has taken on in her life, the most rewarding is being a mother to her daughter, Hayden, with fiancé, Matt Alan. "I think motherhood is all about constantly learning. It's amazing. It's one of those things when once you become a mom, you don't remember what it was like before you were a mom. Sometimes I feel like her assistant," she laughs. "My patience is really good. She's almost to the terrible twos and she enjoys testing us, but I love it. I'm getting to revisit childhood again." Hayden's visits to the Grey's set are always interesting. "It's difficult being away during Grey's filming, so sometimes she visits set. Once she was waiting in Video Village, the behind-the-scenes area, I had a scene with Justin [who plays Alex] and she screamed, 'Mom!' so loud from the other room —Justin and I immediately started laughing. She knew exactly where I was and didn't care that cameras were rolling," she laughs. Since getting engaged last year on New Year's, Camilla is excited about
