The Heroine We've Always Needed Camilla Luddington is a hero on screen and in her home Words by Briana Dodson Photographer: Hudson Taylor Styling: Natalie Hoselton Hair: Ruslan Nureev Makeup: Melissa Hernandez Before enjoying the holidays with her family, actress Camilla Luddington is finishing up filming on the current season of ABC's Grey's Anatomy, and then following that up with an Ugly Sweater Party. "It's so fun to wrap the latest season and then getting to see everyone in their ugly sweaters —cast and crew, everyone!" says Camilla. Grey's Anatomy, which centers around the personal and professional lives of the doctors at Seattle Grace, currently has 15 seasons under its belt and recently surpassed ER as the longest-running medical drama in T V history. "We'll be starting to film the next season in January, which is pretty exciting!" says Camilla, who plays Dr. Jo Wilson. At 18 years old, Camilla, who is born and raised in A scot, Berkshire, England, UK, enrolled in Susquehanna Universit y in Pennsylvania. She later moved to New York Cit y, where she studied at the New York Film Academy, before set tling in Los Angeles to pursue a film career. She has since appeared in small roles in several high-profile T V shows, before rising to prominence as Catherine Duchess of Cambridge in the Lifetime T V movie, William & Kate. She went on to appear in Californication, True Blood, and was a guest star during the ninth season of Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Jo Wilson before becoming a series regular.
