The Underline's Kickoff Event Friends of The Underline gathered to celebrate the non-profit's season opener at the SLS LUX Brickell. Singer Emily Estefan performed three songs as her legendary parents Gloria and Emilio sang along to support her, while sipping Ron Barcelo cocktails. Over 300 guests and Miami VIPs enjoyed light bites provided by Katsuya Brickell and refreshing cocktails sponsored by Ron Barcelo in honor of the 10-mile activation. Stephanie Sayfie Aagaard and Nick D'Annunzio, board member & founder of TARA, Ink., kept the audience engaged as emcees of the night. Other notable guests included: President & CEO of The Underline Meg Daly, Mayor Francis Suarez, Commissioner Eileen Higgins, and CEO of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation Alberto Ibarguen. The project is helmed by same creators of New York's famous Highline.
