Decide to Succeed this Season Stop Wishing and Wanting and Start Deciding Words by Kim Argetsinger Last season, I adopted a new lifestyle change that included earlier mornings, so I could optimize my energy and productivity. As a natural night owl, this felt about as Herculean as running a marathon might feel for a couch potato. I'm happy to report I've changed my ways and am enjoying earlier mornings and the space and time it gives me. While this involved some goal-setting and planning, it began with a mindset that decided to succeed. Deciding, "Hey, I want this, and I'm going to have it. It's possible, and it's happening" is a line we draw in the sand. There is massive power when we decide, and for me, it was the difference between getting up and hitting the snooze button for an hour. On the flip side, when we aren't getting the results we want, there's a good chance there are a few areas we haven't made decisions! Am I right? A s Tony Robbins says in his book, Awaken the Giant Within, "Studies have shown that the most successful people make decisions rapidly because they are clear on their values and what they really want for their lives. He goes on to say, "It is your decisions, not your conditions, that determine your destiny. A truly commit ted decision is the force that changes your life." Think about how true this is.
