Not all brunches are created equal, and if you are looking for the ultimate Miami brunch experience—the light sound of the ocean with eggs benedict on the side—then Matador Terrace inside The Miami Beach EDITION is where you want to go. This unique extension of the very popular Matador Room is a hidden gem. Located behind the stark-white lobby, passed the imposing bar area, and behind glass doors is a brunch haven. It's open Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm exclusively for brunch, and it's recommended to schedule a reservation ahead of time, especially on sunny days when outdoor eating is preferred. However, even on rainy days the terrace stays open—currently half of the terrace is covered. Matador Terrace preserves the level of panache found throughout the EDITION while maintaining a casual brunch atmosphere. The terrace resembles a deluxe garden patio with hanging plants, comfortable wicker chairs, and white cloth napkins. From the terrace, you can see big palm trees that frame your view of the clear, blue sky. Overlooking the pool, this spot invites pool-goers to stop by for a drink or meal. It's not unusual to see people come in after a quick dip. So, whether you attend brunch in your beach clothes or your Sunday's best, you'll fit right in at Matador. The terrace is bathing suit-friendly and family-friendly. Families can secure larger tables, close to the pool—to keep an eye on the little one—and have an umbrella if some shade is preferred. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The menu at Matador has something for everyone. You will find brunch classics like the Matador Breakfast, which comes with huevos rancheros, corn tortillas, and fire roasted salsa, or the crowd-favorite: the omelet with spinach and pickled chili—all made with fresh ingredients locally sourced. Plus, you can add a selection of smoked meats and fish to any order. If you are looking for options outside of the classic brunch items, you can pick from a list of main dishes, which include grilled salmon, a crispy Mahi Mahi sandwich, Chipotle chicken tacos, and turkey Cuban sandwich. There is also pizza and Mexican-st yle French toast— great for sharing or an after-brunch dessert! Finally, no true brunch is complete without bottomless drinks, right? At Matador, you have the option of Bellinis, Mimosas, and Bloody Marys to complement ever y bite. And if you are feeling adventurous, make sure you don't leave without ordering their signature drink, The Pineapple. This unique cocktail comes in a copper pineapple-shaped vessel that enhances the toasted rosemary herbs—this drink is an experience on its own. Whether it's the food, cocktails, or love for brunch that brings you to Matador this summer, it will be ever y thing you want from brunch and more. ML Matador Terrace is located at 2901 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33140. For more information, visit: http://www.matadorroom.com/about/matador-terrace
