Sky Pool When it comes to suspended floating pools, the Sky Pool in London stands alone. Picture it as a massive block of liquid blue, suspended in midair, 115 feet (35 meters) above the ground. This 82-foot (25-meter) pool, known as the Sky Pool, is constructed from an acrylic frame weighing 50 tonnes, with an 8-inch-thick structure and a 12-inch-thick base, nearly 10 feet deep. The pool is supported by a concealed steel frame and was built by Reynolds Polymer, Inc. in Colorado, then shipped from Texas over three weeks. Structural engineers Eckersley O’Callaghan and HAL Architects designed this marvel. Unfortunately, access is exclusive to residents of the Embassy Gardens development.
