Guests can enjoy a variety of cuisines made with locally-sourced ingredients throughout the property. Mi Carisa serves Italian in an intimate setting and offers alfresco dining. The ambiance on the terrace is romantic, I highly suggest dining out here. The menu features dishes like the truly unique Mushrooms and Truffle Cappuccino --a flavorful starter unlike anything I've ever tried before; Spaghetti Carbonara; Risotto Al Funghi, and Lamb Ribs with Black Quinoa. Cueva Siete is their regionally-focused concept, helmed by Chef Xavier Perez Stone, with dishes rooted in Mexican traditions. And Inez Café is a casual, coffee shop that serves paninis, salads, sandwiches, fresh juice and coffee. My favorite restaurant was Mura House, which features Asian fare and fuses three different styles of Japanse cuisine: teppanyaki, yakitori, and sushi. Every dish we tried was excellent, from the Tuna Tataki, seared and served with avocado mousse and eel sauce to the Pad Thai with shrimp, and Grilled Duck Breast accompanied by wok- sauteed vegetables and gohan rice. 20°87° Restaurant, which, like the hotel, incorporates the property's longitude and latitude coordinates, is their casual, beachside concept that offers an appetizing breakfast and lunch buffet, then transforms into a grill at night, serving choice cuts of meat and fish. There's indoor and terrace seating. The breakfast and lunch buffet is a must. They have a crepe station, omelet station, pasta station, and serve a range of fare from sushi rolls and American to Mexican and seafood. Satiate your sweet tooth and stop by the dessert counter loaded with treats, like Banana Strudel and Crème Brûlée. 20°87° Restaurant provides a breathtaking view of the white sand beach and ocean, accessed by a picturesque boardwalk. Looking for something a little less formal? Order beef tacos, chicken nachos, onion rings…and a margarita from one of the lounge chairs or day beds surrounding the palm-tree-lined pool. While you take a dip and cool off from the hot sun, swim up to the pool bar for a refreshing Mai Tai. Or relax beneath an umbrella and dive into a book. Relaxation is encouraged here, and Escensia Wellness is happy to assist. This area of the hotel boasts the spa, full-service beauty salon, barber shop, and state-of-the- art fitness facility. Take care of your mind, body, and spirit. This luxurious spa is a must. The menu boasts signature treatments and locally-inspired beauty rituals, like the Cocoa Ritual, an 80-minute exfoliation and body wrap; Volcanic Stones Massage; and Deep Hydration Facial (a 25% service fee applies on all treatments). I indulged in the Aromatic Infusion Massage and left feeling relaxed and at peace. Arrive an hour before your treatment, so that you can take advantage of the fully-equipped hydrotherapy facility. Venture down the corridor, away from the spa, and you will find a handful of shops that sell swimsuits, fine jewelry, local art, souvenirs, and wine. Everything you could possibly want or need can be found at this picture-perfect property.
