Pridelines Miami's LGBTQ Community Center Pridelines is a non-profit organization serving Miami's LGBTQ Community and those living with HIV/AIDS. Led by CEO Victor Diaz- Herman, the organization staffs 10 members and a board of directors and a host of volunteers. Founded over 35 years ago in the wake of Anita Bryant's "Save Our Children" campaign, Pridelines has grown dramatically. In 2016, the organization opened its 9,000-square-foot community center space and expanded its services, providing medical testing, holistic therapies, educational lectures, and educational lectures. Over 10,000 community members accessed Pridelines' services last year alone. Pridelines provides a range of youth social programs for the LGBTQ community including Project SAFE (Safe Accommodations for Everyone) serving LGBTQ's youth community at a risk of homelessness. Project SAFE provides youth from 16-24 years of age a range of services, including shelter, case management, emergency services, transportation, food, relocation, and reunification services. As South Florida continues to see the highest number of new HIV/AIDS infections in the country, Pridelines plays a critical role in supporting the LGBTQ community. In addition to Project SAFE, Pridelines offers PozConnect, a program designed to offer HIV/AIDS individuals support, knowledge, and other skills necessary to live a healthier life while confronting HIV-related stigma and discrimination. Serving the Miami- Dade community, Pridelines outreach programs targets local community schools, universities, government agencies, and other organizations.
