Mexican actor, dancer, and songwriter Jorge Blanco is in the midst of making his mark on the music industry. Last spring, Jorge released his singles, "Risky Business" and "Summer Soul," which was featured in the programming for Major League Baseball on ESPN. He was also featured on the movie soundtrack for Cars 3 singing The Beatles' hit song, "Baby You Can Drive My Car." And he has acquired more than 5 million followers on social media. Now, he's ready to release his own music. Signed with Hollywood Records, the anticipated release of his debut EP is this spring/summer. The 25-year-old entertainer, who you might also recognize from Disney Channel's Violetta as León Vargas, was recently in Miami for the iHeart Fiesta Latina. "It was great to be back in a Latin environment again. I could reconnect with some good friends and met a lot of great Latin artists for the first time. Every time I have been involved in an event with iHeart, they have made it a lot of fun and this was no exception," says Jorge, during our interview last November. At the time of our interview, Jorge was on a break from his month-long European promotion trip for his new tour and new single (released November 24th), "Gone Is The Night" on Spinnin' with Kris Kross Amsterdam. "We also shot a video in Amsterdam a month ago. A lot of time will be spent doing promotion of this song on TV and radio," he says about the months ahead. Extremely busy with creating, preparing, and rehearsing for his European headlining tour slated for this March-April, Jorge kindly took some time to answer our questions.
