Here is How You Can Help Hurricane Victims
This year Florida, Puerto Rico, and a number of Caribbean Islands suffered great devastation due to powerful hurricanes like Irma and Maria. We are encouraging Miami Living readers and our local community to make donations in order to help with relief efforts. There are a number of charities that are working with effected areas.
Save the Children is an international non-governmental organization that promotes children's rights, and it is currently providing support for Puerto Rico victims. https://secure.savethechildren.org Direct Relief employees are directly involved with affected areas by visiting hospitals in order to find out what medical equipment is needed. https://secure.directrelief.org/
Hispanic Federation created the Unidos Disaster Relief Fund to help raise funds for hurricane-effected areas.
