Canada's Culinary Province WORDS BY MARKIN ABRAS & JAVIER DELGADO Prince Edward Island is known for its lush landscapes, natural beauty, and beaches. Located in the north of the Nova Scotia peninsula, Prince Edward Island is named after Prince Edward Augustus, Duke of Kent and father of Queen Victoria. Also known as "the Garden Province," Prince Edward Island is Canada's smallest and least populous province hosting only 140,000 residents. The island's two main industries are farming and fishing and carries with great pride its reputation for being "Clean and Green."
