The 19th Annual Miami Edition of the MiFo LGBT Film Festival will outshine all other years with new exciting venues, great films, and amazing people from April 21-30, 2017. Our mission is to inspire, entertain, and educate the public, encourage a sense of community through international and culturally diverse film that offer historical and contemporary perspectives on the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender experience. Where we believe MiFo outshines is in encouraging a sense of community by answering a question: Why do people go to the movies? Which is not the same as why we watch movies. We watch movies because we are interested in the story it wants to tell and how it is being told. But why we go to movies is a different answer. We go to movies because of people.
